POS Policy

1. POS SERVICES OVERVIEW

This POS Policy governs the deployment, use, and management of Flur Point of Sale (POS) terminals and software for accepting in-person payments. This Policy supplements the Merchant Policy and Terms of Service.

2. TERMINAL ACQUISITION AND SETUP

  • Terminal purchase or rental options available
  • Security deposit required for rented terminals
  • Merchant responsible for terminal safety and maintenance
  • Terminal must be used at registered business location only
  • Multi-terminal support for larger merchants

3. UNIQUE PAYMENT TYPES

Flur POS terminals support unique payment types not available on traditional POS systems:

  • Split Payments: Customers can divide payment among multiple parties
  • Group Wallet Payments: PaySpace or Group Wallet members can pay collectively
  • SecurePass Payments: Authorized subscription card payments

4. SECURITY AND COMPLIANCE

  • PCI-PTS certified terminals
  • End-to-end encryption for card data
  • EMV chip and contactless payment support
  • Staff access controls and user management
  • Terminal tampering detection
  • Regular security updates pushed automatically

5. TERMINAL FEES AND CHARGES

  • Per-transaction POS fee (in addition to standard merchant fees)
  • Monthly terminal rental fee (if applicable)
  • Replacement fee for lost, stolen, or damaged terminals
  • Technical support and maintenance included

6. PROHIBITED POS USES

  • Using terminal for personal transactions
  • Processing split payments to circumvent transaction limits
  • Allowing unauthorized persons to operate terminal
  • Taking terminal outside registered business location
  • Attempting to tamper with or modify terminal software/hardware

7. RETURN AND TERMINATION

  • 30-day notice required for termination of rental agreement
  • Terminal must be returned in good working condition
  • Deposit refunded after inspection (minus any damages)
  • Immediate termination for policy violations
